These Dream Fairy
Ju Ju dolls are blessed for the purpose of keeping evil and negativity at
bay during the dreamtime. Though dream fairies sleep during the day, they awaken at dusk
to keep a watchful eye out for believers of the fae, for the little children who
need no convincing, and for the sleeping babes who await sweet dreams.
Nightmares and bad dreams are imprisoned while pleasant dreams are enhanced and
awakened.
New Orleans Voodoo is an eclectic
religion that, while based on ancient African religious traditions, also
incorporates elements of Native American, healing and herbalism, Catholicism, as
well as European folk magick. These dream fairies are a reminder of the symphony of cultures
that makes Voodoo the special religion that it is.
Created in the traditional New Orleans conjure art style, Dream Fairy Ju Ju
dolls are created out of natural stick forms and Spanish moss. These lovely
creatures have butterfly wings attached to their bodies and are
wrapped in fine fancy yarns and vintage laces, and sport a dream catcher or
other dreamtime charms. Their faces are hand sculpted out of polymer clay and
painted. Dream Fairy Ju Ju dolls are self-standing
and come with a certificate of authenticity.
